EXTREME EXPLORATIONS FILM FESTIVAL – MAY 25-28, 2010
I wish to welcome everyone to a Film festival / speaker component to our festival.
The evenings of Tuesday May 25 throuigh Thursday May 27 we have set aside a number of films and presentations around Mountain Sports and Culture . Filmmakers and guests will appear for Q and A during many of the screenings. May thanks to The Greater Squamish Regional District and it’s Pemberton Community and Youth Centre for hosting this event .
We also wish to welcome the students of The Cultural Video Production Program from The Ts`zil Learning Centre from Mt Currie and The Lilwat Nation.. Each evening will be preceded by films from the students. Titles include : Memories of The Old Hall, Carving,Chief Leonard Andrews Interview, Snowboarding and more..

the founder and publisher of POWDER Magazine about his globe
trotting forays.
Followed by
GOLDENRUSH : The story of the town of Golden going through tremendous
Changes with a new ski development comes to town. Discussion afterwards.
Some important issues here that affect many small BC towns as Pemberton
BC . Captain Powder has a cameo appearance in Goldenrush.

SPEEDRIDING presentation pics and vids – Catch a presentation by Arnaud
from the Speedriding School at LES ARCS, France . Learn about this exciting
new sport which is sweeping the world , part skiing, part flying !
Followed by Peter’s PERU COLOMBIA night
SKI PERU , JOURNEY TO THE HEART OF THE WORLD and SACRED
FLIGHT . Three of Chrzanowskis filmsspanning 30 years of adventures on the
Southern continent .

Jim Orava , Canadian Paraglide Champion, guide gives us a presentation of his latest adventures.

Frtiday May 28th PONY EXPRESS 8pm
Presentation by Filip Jagla ,Polish paraglide pilot, athlete and competitor for prestigious XALPS race, www.redbullxalps.com an 800km hike and fly across Alps from Salzburg Austria via spectacular peaks along the way, landing on the beach in Monaco. Filip will present a series of slides from the Red Bull event as well as several films. He will also showcase a Cross Country adventure by paraglider in Brazil.
Entrance : Suggested donation $12 at door or $10 tickets ahead of time at Community Centre..
